OSWEGO – On Wednesday (November 1), members of the Oswego City Police Department arrested 35-year-old Jason J. Bryan, of Oswego, after an investigation determined that the subject allegedly had sexual contact with a person less than 11 years old.

Bryan was charged with:
• Criminal Sex Act in the First Degree, a class B Felony, in violation of section 130.50 subdivision 3 of the NYS Penal Law, which reads: A person is guilty of criminal sexual act in the first degree when he or she engages in oral sexual conduct or anal sexual conduct with another person who is less than 11 years old.
• Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, a class D Felony, in violation of section 130.65 subdivision 3 of the NYS Penal Law which reads: A person is guilty of sexual abuse in the first degree when he or she subjects another person to sexual contact when the other person is less than 11 years old.
• Endangering the welfare of a child, a class A Misdemeanor, in violation of 260.10 subdivision 1 of the NYS Penal Law, which reads: A person is guilty of endangering the welfare of a child when he knowingly acts in a manner likely to be injurious to the physical, mental or moral welfare of a child less than seventeen years old or directs or authorizes such child to engage in an occupation involving a substantial risk of danger to his life or health.
Bryan was arraigned Thursday on the above charges in Oswego City Court and remanded to Oswego County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash, $30,000 bond.
He has a return court date of November 14 at 9:30 a.m. in Oswego City Court.
