OSWEGO, NY – On Wednesday February 13, at about 6:05 a.m. the Oswego City Police Department’s Anti -Crime Team (ACT), with the assistance of the Special Response Team (SRT), executed a search warrant at 257 Syracuse Ave., Apartment #1, Oswego.
The search warrant had been issued as a result of an investigation in the illegal possession and sales of heroin occurring at that address.
As a result of the search, investigators located and seized 14 bags of heroin.
Two residents of 257 Syracuse Ave. Apartment #1 were arrested and charged with the following:
German Sanchez, 40, was charged with:
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, with intent to sell- Class B Felony
Maria L. Cancel, 40, was charged with:
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree – Class A Misdemeanor
Cancel was processed on the charge and released on an appearance ticket.
She is due back in Oswego City Court on March 14 at 9:30 a.m.
Sanchez was arraigned in Oswego City Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility with no bail.
He is due back in Oswego City Court on February 26 at 9:30 a.m.
