OSWEGO, NY – An Oswego woman is facing welfare fraud charges.
At 1:30 p.m. March 30, deputies arrested Margaret A. Fellows, 36, of 735 Dutch Ridge Road, Oswego, first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, a class E felony; third-degree welfare fraud, a class D felony; and third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony.

The charges stem from an investigation that revealed she had undeclared income making her ineligible for the food stamp benefit she received in excess of $10,000.
Fellows was arraigned before the Hon. Spencer Ludington, Fulton City Court, and released on her own recognizance.
She is scheduled to appear before Town of Mexico Court on April 10 to answer the charges.
