Oswego School Board Handles Light Agenda

OSWEGO, NY – During the regular session of Monday’s Oswego School Board meetint, the board approved the Oswego Middle School French Club trip to Montreal for June 6-7 and a textbook for the Modern Novels course at the Oswego High School.

Under personnel, the board accepted the retirement of elementary teacher Patricia Delia, effective on March 21.

Elementary teacher Nicole Freebern was approved for a leave of absence through March 19.

Science teacher Danielle Rombough was given tenure effective on March 4.

Regular substitutes were also approved through the end of the current school year for elementary teacher Emily Moreau, teaching assistant Chelsea Jones and science teacher Jordan Mangano.

Winter Guard consultants Michael Tierney, Ryan Bronner, Alexandra Sivers, Gina Bartholomew and Kaitlyn LaVerne were also approved.

Michelle Knopp was approved as a 10-month typist at Oswego High School while Joseph Donhauser and David Ellingwood were approved as part-time security officers.

Darci Michalski was approved as a part-time teacher aid at Charles E. Riley.

Numerous support staff permanent appointments were on the agenda and those included school bus driver Cindy Bosco, school bus attendant Patricia Thompson, custodial workers Sharon Truax, James Ferguson and Tyler Broadwell along with register professional nurse Amy Waters, library clerk Shannon Harter, teacher aid Tina Hondro and food service helper Rhonda Parker.

Under the finance portion of the agenda, Soul Hooping and Oswego Opera Theatre were added to the list of approved organizations that could use Oswego City School District facilities. missing or outdated ad config
