Oswego St. Patrick’s Day Parade Dates Announced, Among Other Major Oswego Events

OSWEGO – The Oswego Saint Patrick’s Day parade dates and route have been set. The parade will be on March 8^th at 1 p.m. The parade will start on East 1^st and Cayuga st, following the same path it has the last few years, ending at Giddy’s Irish Pub. At the meeting, the chairman for the parade explained that Oswego has the parade a week before the Syracuse one to secure pipe bands. Bands and dance groups are harder to book the week of St. Patrick’s Day. While hoping to rival the Syracuse parade one day, organizers just want to improve our current parade further.

Passed Motions

• Great Falls Basketball will host a 3v3 basketball tournament at Breitbeck Park on June 8th, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
• Pro-am fishing tournament at Wright’s Marina July 11^th – 13^th, 4:45 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Snax Enterprise will host a party on July 26th from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Water Street Square.
• Oswego YMCA will host Pumpkin Fest 2025 at Washington Square Park on October 24^th – 25^th.
• Oswego YMCA will host Harbor Fest 5k and kids’ fun run on July 26^th. This will be the 36th year Oswego YMCA will be running the event.
• Harbor Fest approved for 2025, July 24^th until July 27^th.
• Oswego YMCA will host the Reindeer Run on December 6^th. It will be the 34^th time Oswego YMCA will run the event.
