Oswego Woman Charged With Menacing

OSWEGO, NY – A westside Oswego woman is in jail after police say she used a kitchen knife to threaten a man.

At about 10:52 p.m. Tuesday, Oswego police responded to 200 W. First St. regarding a disturbance.

Upon arrival and initial investigation, officers determined that 50-year-old Susan A. Clemons of 200 W. First St., Apartment 1, had threatened an adult man with a kitchen knife.

According to the victim, he and Clemons had been involved in a verbal argument.

It’s alleged that as the victim tried to leave in his car, Clemons attempted to stab the victim through the car’s open window.

Clemons was arrested at the scene and transported to the Oswego City Police
Department.

She was arraigned today (June 16) in Oswego City Court on charges of:

  • Second-degree menacing (Class A misdemeanor)
  • Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (Class D felony).

Upon arraignment, Clemons was remanded to Oswego County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.
