UPDATE: Police report Tryon is in fair condition at Upstate University Hospital.
ORIGINAL REPORT: A woman from Oswego was the driver involved in an accident that has left a Liverpool man in critical condition.
The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department reports that Courtney Gehrig, 19, of Oswego was driving through the parking lot at North Medical Center on W. Taft Rd. She was looking for a place to park.
Her car hit Lyle Tryon, 56, of Liverpool. Police believe Gehrig did not know she had hit the man with her Ford F-250 pickup.
She continued driving for another 30 feet or so before another motorist alerted her that she was dragging Tyron under the truck.
Police said that they believed Tryon’s injuries were not life threatening at the time, but he is now listed in critical condition at Upstate University Hospital.
No tickets or charges have been issued as yet.
