Pair Allegedly Forcibly Injected Children With Insulin

OSWEGO, NY – Members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office have arrested Howard E. Kriese, 32, of 302 N. Center St., East Syracuse, and Korena R. Thompson, 34, of 956 Middle Road, Lot 5, Oswego, charging both with two counts each of Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree, a class D felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor.

The charges are the result of the investigation into a report that, while at a town of Scriba residence, Kriese and Thompson had forcibly restrained two children, ages 10 and 6, to inject the children with insulin not prescribed by a physician.

Kriese and Thompson were both arraigned before the Hon. Kenneth Adkins, Town of Scriba Court.

Both were remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility.

Kriese is being held pending $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 secure bond.

Thompson is held in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 secure bond.
