Phone issue corrected in Oswego County

UPDATE: 

The Oswego County E-911 Communications Center reports that the problems preventing people from certain areas being able to dial 911 have been resolved, and all county residents are now able to call 911.

OSWEGO – The Oswego County E-911 Communications Center reports that people with some land lines in the Fulton area are still having difficulty reaching 911.

Telephone company technicians are continuing to work on problem.

People who cannot reach 911 using a land line should use a cellular phone or go to their local fire, police, or emergency medical services agency for assistance.

The Fulton, Granby, Cody, Volney, and Palermo fire departments are continuing to staff their stations to assist people until the situation is resolved.
