OSWEGO, NY – A West Monroe couple was chraged with welfare fraud, deputies said.

At 6:50 p.m. on June 28, Melissa A. Cusson, 41, and Tracy J. Cusson, 49, both of of 101 Cusson Drive, West Monroe, were each arrested for third-degree welfare fraud and third-degree grand larceny.
Both charges are class E felonies.
They were arraigned before the Hon. Kenneth Adkins, Town of Scriba Court, and released on their own recognizance.

The Cussons are scheduled to appear before Town of Mexico Court on July 10 to answer the charges.
They are accused of fraudulently receiving social service benefits in the form of Medicaid and food stamps in excess of $5,000.
