Port City Man Facing Rape Charges

OSWEGO, NY – On Oct. 20, at approximately 3:47 p.m., Oswego Police arrested Richard G. Warren, 30, of 27 Northwest Ninth St., Oswego.

Warren’s arrest was the result of an investigation into several incidents occurring from Sept. 26 to Oct. 16.

In connection with a Sept. 26 incident, Warren was charged with:

Assault in the Third Degree (Class A-Misdemeanor)

Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree (Class A-Misdemeanor)

Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree (A-Misdemeanor)

In connection with an Oct. 10 incident, Warren is charged with:

Rape in the First Degree (Class B-Felony)

In connection with an Oct. 16 incident, Warren is charged with:

Rape in the Third Degree (Class E-Felony)

The victim in the above referenced incidents was the same adult female.

The suspect in these cases was known to the victim.

Injuries to the victim as a result of the alleged crimes were reported as non-life-threatening.

Warren was arraigned before Oswego City Court Judge James Metcalf and was remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 bail / $50,000 bond.
