OSWEGO, NY – Ten time Indy 500 veteran and 1997 Oswego Speedway International Classic winner Davey Hamilton met several race fans Friday afternoon at Burritt Motors.

Hamilton was in town to help kick off the 24th annual “$10,000 to Win” this weekend at Oswego Speedway.

The Jamestown, Indiana, has run 52 Indy car races in his career with eight top three finishes.

Hamilton has competed in the prestigious International Classic at Oswego for four different car owners.

He was elected into the Oswego Speedway “Hall of Fame” in 2005.

Hamilton will compete for car owner John Nicotra as the teammate to current Novelis Supermodified Track Champion, Otto Sitterly.

“I think this is the first time I’ve run in this race,” he said. “This is a good warmup for the Classic, though.”

Burritt Motors not only supplies the “Official Pace Truck” for the Oswego Speedway but has one of the longest running sponsorships in the 60-year history of the track.

The 24th annual “Mr. Novelis Supermodified” feature will be joined by the 19th annual “Mr. PathFinder Bank Small Block Super” race and the 3rd annual “Ms. Hoosier Mama” SBS powder puff race for the ladies on Saturday night.
