MINETTO, NY – A fox has been coming around on and off, early mornings, at Dick Drosse’s house in Minetto.

The award-winning photographer has grabbed his camera time and again in an attempt to capture a portrait of the visitor.

However, it spooks easily.

“I couldn’t figure how I could step out and get a good photo,” Drosse said. “I’d just get ready to take the photo, and the fox would run off.”

A little while ago, he found out why.

As the fox strolled toward the house, “out of the brush pops our cat, Leo, chasing the fox,” Drosse explained. It’s as if Leo’s yelling, “There’s only room for one boss around here!”

If you’d like to see more of Drosse’s photography, visit the Oswego Public Library; it is hosting an exhibition of his work through Oct. 5.

The exhibition may be viewed during regular library hours: Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

Drosse is a local photographer whose work has appeared in several exhibitions with the Art Association of Oswego and the Fulton Art Association. missing or outdated ad config
