OSWEGO, NY – Senators Charles E. Schumer and Hillary Rodham Clinton have announced $28,500 in U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) funding for Oswego County Airport.

The funds will help improve runway safety at the airport.

“This funding is an important investment in Oswego’s transportation and infrastructure,” said Senator Schumer. “Keeping our passengers safe is a top priority and an important way of doing that is to keep our runways safe and clear of obstructions. I will continue to fight for funds that protect our passengers.”

“This wise investment will help ensure that Oswego County Airport continues to serve Central New York with the highest standards of safety and efficiency. This is welcome news for Oswego and New York,” Senator Clinton said.

The DOT grant will support a study of obstructions at Oswego County Airport and the development of a plan for their removal. missing or outdated ad config
