Shapiro Park Pickleball Courts to Be Temporarily Unavailable for Repainting

OSWEGO – The City of Oswego is advising residents that the pickleball courts at Shapiro Park will be temporarily unavailable for use while National Grid completes repainting work at the facility on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

National Grid will be bringing a small team to Shapiro Park to repaint the pickleball court surface and refresh the large planter located at the base of the “Shapiro Park” sign. The work is part of an effort to help maintain and enhance the appearance of this popular community space. Mayor Robert A. Corradino and City staff appreciate National Grid’s continued collaboration and willingness to contribute to the Oswego community.

“National Grid has been a valued community partner, and we appreciate their willingness to work with the City to help maintain and improve our public spaces,” said Mayor Robert A. Corradino. “We are grateful for this collaboration and for their investment in a facility that is enjoyed by residents and visitors throughout the community.”

The City thanks residents for their patience and understanding while the work is completed and looks forward to having the pickleball courts back in use once the project is finished.
