Shooting In Mexico Leaves Man Wounded

An argument between brothers ended when one shot the other early today, according to the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department.

It happened at Lot 3 of the Mapleview Trailer Park on Rt. 11 in the town of Mexico at about 3:51 Tuesday morning.

Police allege that Keith P. House, 21, shot Gary L. Stacy, Jr., 31, in the abdomen.

Both men live at the trailer park, at Lot 1.  They were visiting a relative at Lot 3, according to police.

Stacy was taken by ambulance to University Hospital in Syracuse.  He is expected to survive.

House was charged with felony assault, felony reckless endangerment and misdemeanor weapons possession.  He was arraigned in Central Square Village Court and sent back to jail on bail of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.  He is scheduled to return to court Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in Mexico Town Court.
