Stolen Vehicle Suspect Apprehended

OSWEGO, NY – On Sunday January 27, at approximately 12:36 p.m., the Oswego City Police Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at 276 W. First St., Paul’s Big M.

It was learned that the operator of the vehicle had left it unlocked and running at which time an unknown man entered and drove away in it.

Through investigation a suspect was developed.

That suspect, Kyle C. Reeser, 25, and a last known address of 7 ½ Prospect St., Oswego, was located on Monday January 28 and subsequently arrested and charged with the theft of the vehicle.

When arrested, Reeser was found to allegedly be in possession of 10 bags of heroin (aggregate weight of 1.3 grams), 2 dosage units of Suboxone and a hypodermic needle.

Reeser was charge with the following:

Grand Larceny in the 4th degree- Class E Felony

Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument- Class A Misdemeanor

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree- Class A Misdemeanor- 2 counts

The stolen vehicle was located on the west side of the city of Oswego.

Reeser was arraigned in Oswego City Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 secured bail bond.

He is due back in Oswego City Court on February 5 at 9:30 a.m.
