The Oswego Bookmobile and Lakeview Lanes Join Forces for Literacy

All proceeds from the June 7 fundraiser at Lakeview Lanes are benefiting the Bookmobile

OSWEGO — In anticipation of the Oswego Bookmobile’s upcoming expansion to Fulton and other new areas, the public is invited to Pins, Putts & Pages: Oswego Bookmobile is Rolling into Fulton. This fundraiser at Lakeview Lanes, 723 W. Broadway, Fulton, NY on Saturday, June 7, from 2 to 8 p.m. will feature bowling, mini golf, raffles, free books for children and more fun activities.

Lakeview Lanes will offer 10 bowling lanes, each at a rate of $10 per person including shoe rental. Groups or businesses interested in reserving a lane by the hour can do so by emailing [email protected] in advance. The mini golf course will be open for $5 per adult and $2 per child under the age of 8. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Oswego Bookmobile, which provides free books and literacy resources to children in the county.

“We’re thrilled to expand the reach of the Oswego Bookmobile and display our new bus at this event,” said Susan McBrearty, president of Oswego Bookmobile. “The funds raised will help us bring more books and STEAM activities to children and families in Oswego County. We’re grateful to Lakeview Lanes for their support and all the local businesses and volunteers making this event possible.”

Attendees will have the chance to win raffle prizes, including a Pizza, Pins and Pop package donated by Lakeview Lanes; an exotic snack basket donated by SNAX; four tickets to the MOST;and various baskets donated by local artists and businesses. Raffle tickets are one for $3, two for $5 or five for $10.
