This project, unlike the Bridge Street Project, will not require a complete closure of the bridge.

Work will be performed while keeping at least one lane open in each direction for the duration of the project.

Work crews will begin some of the preparatory work as early as this week including: signage and adjusting the timing of the traffic signals on the East and West First at Utica Street intersections.

According to Police Chief Michael J. Dehm Jr., “New York State Department of
Transportation crews did a terrific job for us on the 2008 Bridge Street Project minimizing the impact on our community. We are confident that we will continue our working relationship with them during this project.”

The Oswego Police Department asks that motorists be patient as the work continues throughout this construction season and possibly into next season.

Traffic patterns around the construction project may change with little or no notice. missing or outdated ad config
