OSWEGO, NY – The morning (July 24), work crews from the city’s Department of Public Works were notified of a potential sinkhole on Lake Street at West Third Street in the city.
Upon inspection, and in consultation with the Oswego Police Department, the decision was made to close the eastbound lane of traffic on Lake Street from West Second Street to West Fourth Street until July 26.
Lake Street at West Third Street is a main thoroughfare for Harborfest traffic.
The closure should not affect Trolley routes and only applies to vehicular traffic.
