OSWEGO – On Tuesday (May 31), at approximately 4:25 p.m., investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force stopped a 2001 GMC Jimmy in the parking lot of 260 State Route 104 in the city of Oswego.

The vehicle, the subject of a narcotics investigation, was stopped for a violation of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic law, police said.
The driver and passenger were interviewed and based upon the investigation the vehicle was searched.
The search resulted in the seizure of 33 bags of heroin from the vehicle, according to the report.
The passenger of the vehicle, Jason R. Votra, 40, of 130 County Route 63, Oswego, was arrested and charged with:
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, Intent to Sell – Class B Felony
Votra was arraigned by the Honorable James Metcalf in Oswego City Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility without bail.
He is due to reappear in Oswego City Court on June 7 at 9 a.m.
The driver of the vehicle was issued two traffic tickets and released.
The Oswego County Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the Oswego County District Attorney’s Office, Oswego County Sheriff’s Department, NYS University Police at Oswego, U.S. Border Patrol, Fulton City Police Department and Oswego City Police Department.
