OSWEGO, NY –- The Oswego City-County Youth Bureau’s Jen Losurdo was looking to create free and fun entertainment for the children of Oswego. All she needed was some snow – a lot of it.
Unfortunately, it appears Mother Nature has conspired against her.
A dearth if sufficient snow has melted plans for the Port City’s first Snowman Building Contest that was scheduled for February 24.
And so, Losurdo has been making alternate plans.
“We had to cancel the snowman event. But we still want to do something for the youth,” she told Oswego County Today. “We are going bowling instead; February 23 at 11 a.m. at Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego.”
The cost will be $5 for two games and shoe rental.
“We’re asking that anyone who’s interested call and confirm here as I have to give them a count,” she said.
