Youth Bureau Announces Nov. 8 Deadline for Next Round of Grants

OSWEGO – The Oswego City-County Youth Bureau anticipates it will receive a limited amount of funding for youth development programs in 2014.

Not-for-profit organizations have until Nov. 8 to apply for grant funds through the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau and the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.

“These state grant funds are allocated annually by the Youth Bureau Board of Directors to not-for-profit agencies,” said Acting Youth Bureau Director Brian Chetney. “These funds are intended to provide positive youth development programs for youth from across Oswego County. The Youth Bureau board of directors will carefully consider each proposal to ensure that a large cross-section of youth are served from different age groups and geographic areas in the county.”

New applicants must call the youth bureau at 349-3451 or 1-800-596-3200, ext. 3451 and request an application package.

New applicants are also encouraged to schedule an appointment with youth bureau staff prior to completing an application, in order to review the application requirements.

For further information, those interested can contact Chetney at the Youth Bureau at 349-3451 or 1-800-596-3200, ext. 3451. missing or outdated ad config
