PHOENIX, NY — The Phoenix Central School District partnered with the United Way of Greater Oswego County to help students start the 2026-27 school year prepared for success through the annual Stuff-a-Bus school supply distribution event, according to a district release issued October 26.

More than 100 families attended the event before the start of the school year, receiving free school supplies to help ensure students had the materials they needed to start the year ready to learn.

Stuff-a-Bus brings the community together around a shared goal of supporting local students and families. By providing essential school supplies, the event helps ease the financial burden of back-to-school shopping and ensures students have the tools they need to succeed in the classroom.

The district extends a heartfelt thank-you to the United Way of Greater Oswego County, the volunteers who helped organize and distribute supplies, the generous donors who contributed materials and resources, and everyone who helped make the event possible.

“The success of Stuff-a-Bus reflects the generosity and commitment of a community that continues to show up for its students,” said event organizers. “Through partnerships like this, Phoenix Central School District and its community partners help make a positive difference for families and ensure students can begin the school year with confidence.”
