Mexico Town and Village Ask Residents for Input

Your Voice Matters! –

MEXICO – Town and Village of Mexico officials ask residents to help them plan for a vibrant future for the area! A community-wide public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 24 in the auditorium of the Mexico High School, 3338 Main St., Mexico. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and a presentation begins at 6 p.m.

Guest speaker Samuel Gordon, planning leader for Environmental Design and Research (EDR), will share his insights and guidance on shaping the future of Mexico. He will address how development can affect a community and opportunities the town and village of Mexico might be able to take advantage of that will improve the quality of life for residents in the heart of Oswego County.

The event will also highlight proposed objectives and action items being considered in the first joint Comprehensive Plan for the town and village of Mexico.

Residents are reminded that their input is an important part of the planning process. Attendees will have the opportunity to lend their voices to the discussion, ask questions and learn more about the various changes anticipated in Central New York in the coming years.
