Oswego County Director Of Facilities, Technology Dies After Fall At County Legislature Building

OSWEGO – This morning, September 8, Oswego County Director of Facilities and Technology John Bucher passed away at Oswego Hospital after a fall at the County Legislative Office Building.

The Oswego City Police and Fire departments, along with Menter Ambulance and the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. Mr. Bucher was transported to Oswego Hospital by Menter Ambulance where he subsequently passed away. An investigation is being conducted by the Oswego City Police. New York State Department of Labor (PESH Bureau) has also been notified by the county.

Oswego County Legislature Chairman James Weatherup expressed condolences on behalf of the County to the Bucher family.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with John’s family and friends at this difficult time,” Weatherup said.
