Sandy Creek Man arrested for Felony DWAI Drugs following Crash

OSWEGO COUNTY – On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at about 9:44 a.m. State Police in Pulaski responded to 50 Chipman Lane town of Sandy Creek for report of a one-vehicle property damage motor vehicle collision

The investigation determined a 2010 Dodge Charger was traveling west on Chipman Lane in the town of Sandy Creek when the driver lost control, struck a large rock, drove off the east shoulder and into a ditch, striking a culvert pipe.

The operator, who left  the scene of the accident,  was later identified as Thomas W. Christopher, age 65, from Sandy Creek.

Mr. Christopher was subsequently arrested for felony  DWAI -Drugs (for having a prior conviction within 10 years), leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, No Seat Belt, Failure To Keep Right, and Moving From Lane Unsafely., all violations

Christopher was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Sandy Creek Town Court.

The investigation is ongoing.
