Senator Ryan Awards $250,000 to the Town of Hastings

CENTRAL SQUARE, N.Y. – State Senator Christopher J. Ryan (SD-50) today awarded $250,000 to the Town of Hastings that will be used for improvements to the Town Hall, including a new roof and HVAC units.

“Town halls are at the heart of local government and play an important role in connecting residents with the services they rely on,” said Senator Ryan. “This $250,000 investment will help the Town of Hastings address important needs at their Town Hall, ensuring it remains a safe and functional facility for the community. I’m proud to provide funding that allows our local governments to make these necessary improvements and continue providing quality services to their residents.”

“We are grateful to Senator Ryan for his support of the Town of Hastings and for securing this significant investment in our community,” said Town of Hastings Supervisor Tony Bush. “Built in the 1970s, our Town Hall has served the Hastings community for nearly 50 years and remains an important community asset that residents rely on every day. This $250,000 investment will help us address aging building systems and make much-needed improvements that will allow the Town Hall to continue serving our residents safely and reliably for many years to come, while significantly reducing the financial burden on local taxpayers. We greatly appreciate Senator Ryan’s partnership and continued commitment to the Town of Hastings.”

This $250,000 investment will cover nearly half of the $590,000 project, with the remaining $290,000 coming from the Town of Hastings “Town Building Reserve” fund.
