Sheriff’s Office Recognizes Members’ Achievements

OSWEGO, NY –  On Friday, February 16, 2024, members of Oswego County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) held a ceremony to honor and recognize staff for outstanding accomplishments in 2023. Oswego County Sheriff Don Hilton recognized a deputy, investigator and corrections officer for their achievements and dedication to law enforcement. Sheriff Hilton also announced deputies who were recently promoted.

“This is an exceptional group and I’m privileged to acknowledge their skills and commitment. The deputy, investigator and correctional officer being acknowledged are part of the team that patrols and protects us here in Oswego County, and they have proven that they are the very best at what they do,” said Sheriff Hilton.

Award recipients included Tyler Morse, a ten-year veteran of Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, who received the Investigator of the Year award; Brandon Doody, Deputy of the Year; and Sean Lucas, Corrections Officer of the Year.  Officer Lucas has been a corrections officer for Oswego County Corrections Division since 2018.

Three members of the Sheriff’s Office were also recently promoted. Matt Saltalamacchia, who has been at OSCO for over 16 years, was promoted to Investigator and Roberto Minghillo and Justin Quinn were both promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

Sheriff Hilton also thanked the family members of the honorees who were in attendance. “I am grateful to your families for supporting your choice of career.  We salute the great work you all do. I’m proud of you and every member of this agency for the job you do each day,” said Hilton during the ceremony.
