Six People Sent To Hospital For Non-Life-Threatening Injuries Following Parish Head-On Crash

PARISH, NY – State Police in Hastings are investigating a head-on crash that occurred on State Route 69 in the town of Parish yesterday, August 22, resulting in six non-life-threatening injuries.

According to State Police, the investigation has revealed, at approximately 3 p.m., a 2006 Ford SUV, operated by Kenneth R. Horning, age 57 from Parish, New York, was traveling eastbound on State RT 69 when he crossed over into the westbound lane and struck a 2018 KIA SUV head-on.

Horning was transported by ambulance to Upstate University Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. A 7-year-old passenger in his vehicle was to Upstate University Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the KIA, Amanda L. Hughes, age 36 from Camden, New York, was transported to Upstate University Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.  Three passengers in the vehicle, a 42-year-old male, and (two) 1-year-old children were all transported to Upstate University Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
