State Police Investigating Reports of Shooting Incidents at State Fair

SYRACUSE, NY – On September 1, 2024, at 8:38 p.m., State Police assigned to the New York State Fair received a call of possible shots fired between the midway and concert at Suburban Park.

At 8:41 p.m., State Police received a secondary call of possible shots fired at the eatery building.

Troopers responded to both reports and determined that there was no evidence of shots fired or anyone being injured.

After consulting with Fair officials, the decision was made to close the Fair early on Sunday night.

State Police continue to investigate the false reports.
