Two-Vehicle Accident in the Twon of West Monroe

OSWEGO COUNTY – Yesterday evening, at around 4:58 PM, members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident on County Route 37, south of State Route 49, in the Town of West Monroe.

Investigation revealed that a 1999 Toyota Camry was traveling northbound on County Route 37 when it entered the southbound lane and struck a 2021 Chevrolet Trax.  The driver of the Chevrolet Trax, who is 17 years old, was transported to Upstate Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Toyota Camry, Patricia Worlock, 83 and from Constantia, NY, was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The weather and road conditions appear to be a contributing factor.

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on-scene by the New York State Police, Central Square Police Department, West Monroe Volunteer Fire Department and Menter Ambulance.

This incident is still under investigation.
