OSWEGO COUNTY – On June 29th, 2025, at around 12:44 PM, members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motorcycle accident on Kingdom Road in the Town of Volney.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 26-year-old male, identified as Joseph Barbagallo of Volney, was traveling northbound on a blue 2008 Suzuki 650 motorcycle when he lost control and exited the roadway to the east, causing him to be ejected from the motorcycle and strike a guy wire. Joseph was transported to Upstate Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Menter Ambulance, Phoenix Volunteer Fire Department, Volney Volunteer Fire Department, Minetto Volunteer Fire Department, and the New York State Police.
The accident is still under investigation.
