OSWEGO COUNTY – Those eligible to vote in this year’s election are able to do so in three ways: on Election Day (November 3), via absentee ballot, and early voting.
Those who wish to avoid the potentially long lines on Election Day may go to the Oswego County Board of Elections, located at 185 E. Seneca St. in Oswego to cast their vote beforehand.
Early Voting Information:
Early voting began this past Saturday, and will be available until Sunday, November 1.
It is not necessary to make an appointment.
The schedule of available hours until the last day is as follows:
- Today, Oct. 27 – noon to 8 p.m.
- Oct. 28 – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Oct. 29 – noon to 8 p.m.
- Oct. 30 – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Oct. 31 – 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Nov. 1 – 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Election Day information:
Tuesday, November 3 is Election Day. On that day, registered voters may go to their designated polling sites from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Absentee ballot information:
- TODAY October 27 – last day to apply online, by email, fax or to postmark an application by mail for an absentee ballot. Note: regardless of this date, the Post Office has advised that they cannot guarantee timely delivery of ballots applied for less than 15 days prior to the election.
- November 2 – last day to apply in-person for an absentee ballot
- November 3 – last day to postmark absentee ballots. Must be received by the Board of Elections no later than November 10. Military Voter ballots must be received no later than November 16.
- November 3- last day to deliver ballot in-person to the local Board of Elections or to any poll site.
