OSWEGO, NY – Alice Virginia (Karam) D’Amico, a resident of 95 W. Oneida St., Oswego, passed away June 5, 2008, at home surrounded by her loving husband and family.

Alice Virginia (Karam) D’AmicoBorn in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late George and Fredia (Karam) D’Amico.

Alice was employed by Columbia Mills, St. Regis, and Marathon Paper Co. in the payroll departments before retiring to become a housewife and mother.

As a devoted mother and grandmother, Alice loved to cook and spend time with her family.

She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Edmund and Frederick Karam; and sisters, Louise Munski and Mary (May) Miner.

Surviving are her husband, Ralph “Art” D’Amico, whom she was married to for 57 years; her son, Michael D’Amico; a daughter, Kathleen (Scott) Barnard; granddaughters, Annemarie and Alison Barnard, all of Oswego; her sisters, Helen Gill of Oswego and Josephine Morse of Medina, NY; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 8:30 a.m. Monday from Nelson Funeral Home and 9 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
