Amelia L. Criss, 97, a former resident of Porter Street, Oswego, passed away, Monday, March 15, 2010 at St. Luke Nursing Home.
Born in New Haven, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late William and Eva (Ransom) Brown.
She enjoyed gardening, cross stitching and raising her grandchildren.
She worked at Kendig Florist Shop.
Surviving are three granddaughters, Margie (Richard) Clark of Oswego; Carolyn (Daniel) Nelson of N.C.; Tammy (Patrick) Stevens of KY; a grandson, William Criss of Oswego; five great-grandchildren, Gillian Clark of Oswego; Rachael Stevens and Zachary Stevens of KY; Jordan Nelson of N.C.; Victoria Criss of Oswego.
She was predeceased by her husband, Howard J. Criss Sr. and her son, Howard J. Criss Jr..
Funeral Services will be held 3:00p.m. Thursday at the Nelson Funeral Home. Spring burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 1:00 to 3:00p.m. Thursday, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
