Barbara J. Ware, 76, of Hannibal, died Saturday at University Hospital in Syracuse.
Born in Fulton, she was a life resident of the Fulton-Hannibal area. Barb was the Deputy Clerk for Hannibal for the past 19 years. She was predeceased by her husband, George J. Ware, Sr., who died in 1990 and her son, Dennis L. Ware, who died in 1998.
Surviving: a son, George Ware, Jr. and his wife, Coleen of Goodyear, AZ; a daughter-in-law, Cindy (Ware) Callahan of Three Mile Bay; four grandchildren, Derek Ware, Erika (Ware) McKenna, Brian Hungerford and Jeremy Ware; four great-grandchildren, Caden, Natalie, Jacob and Jessica; an aunt, Leona Looker of Fulton; a cousin, Sharon Haynes of Auburn and other cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hannibal Town Hall, 824 Cayuga Street, Hannibal.
