Bertha Clara La Plante, 71, of Phoenix, NY, died Sunday November 29, 2009. Born in Harrisville, NY to her late parents, Nelson E. and Jennie A. (Davis) Hess in 1938.
She was a homemaker, living in Pennellville area, as well as Cicero area throughout her life. Bertha was pre-deceased by her husband, Converse E. La Plante, 1989; her brother Kenneth N. Hess and sister Bonnie J. Hess. Surviving are her twin sister, and brother-in-law, Pastors Lola L. and Robert Moore of Gouverneur; nieces and nephews.
Services are Friday at 11 am December 4, at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St. Phoenix, NY, with Pastor J. Scott Mc Elyea officiating. Burial in Pine Plains Cemetery, North Manilus. Contributions: Phoenix Area Food Pantry or the Phoenix Senior Citizens associations both located at 43 Bridge St. Phoenix, NY 13135.
