OSWEGO, NY – Betty J. Dietz, 87, a resident of Simeon Dewitt Apartments died on September 4, 2009, at St. Luke Health Services.
Born in Syracuse, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Grace (LaClair) Lass.
She was a graduate of St. Mary’s School and Oswego High School.
She was a LPN at Oswego Hospital for many years.
She enjoyed knitting and bowling.
Surviving are two sons, Richard (Rose) Dietz of Oswego and Harry (Beverly) Dietz of Fulton; one brother, Charles Lass of Oswego; two sisters, Eileen (Jack) Saddington and Jean (Henry) Babcock both of Oswego; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Dietz was predeceased by her husband, George Dietz, in 1986; and her brother, Harold Lass, in 1988.
Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.
There are no calling hours.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the John Foster Burden Fund at St. Luke Health Services or the Oswego County Humane Society.
