Carroll W. King, 77, 05/18/2008

OSWEGO, NY – Carroll W. King, 77, of Oswego Town, died Sunday May 18, 2008, surrounded by his family at his home, after a long illness.

Mr. King was born in Oswego, the son of the late Richard and Mary (Carroll) King and he remained a lifetime resident.

Mr. King retired from the Oswego City School District as a school bus driver.

He served in the 26th Infantry Regiment First Division of the United States Army.

Mr. King is survived by his beloved wife of 51years, Marian (Scozzari) King; his devoted children, Richard (Mary) King of Oswego, Rosemary (David) Place of Minetto, and Debora (Daniel) Leonard of Syracuse; his grandchildren, Richard W. King, Nicholas T. King, Erin Place, Brittany Place, Allison Leonard, and Sean Leonard.

Mr. King was predeceased by his brother, George King; and sister, Florence King.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday 9:45 a.m. from the Sugar and Scanlon Funeral Home, Oswego, and 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Minetto.

Burial will be in All Saints Mausoleum.

Calling hour will be Tuesday 4 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.

The family request contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
