Charlene Russell, 68, a resident of 84 Liberty Street, Oswego, passed away, Friday, March 12th, 2010 at SUNY Upstate Hospital. Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Dolittle) Watters.
She was a loving wife, mother, Nana, aunt, and friend.
Char was a lifelong member of the Church of the Resurrection, where she was a church school teacher, a member of the altar guild for over 30 years and volunteered many hours running the “Thrift Shop”
She loved her family, watching children, going to DD to hang with the group, making cake and family get-togethers.
Charlene always put everyone before herself.
Surviving is her husband David Russell, a daughter, Melissa Russell of Oswego; a son, Robert (Gina) Russell of Oswego; a sister, Joanne Seymour of Hannibal; a grandson, Alexander J. Williams and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by four brothers, Robert Watters, Richard Watters, Chuck Watters and Clarence Watters.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Resurrection, Oswego.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
