Cloyd H. (Jerry) Kaylor, 83

OSWEGO, NY – Cloyd H. (Jerry) Kaylor, 83, a resident of Seneca Falls and a former resident of Johnson Road in Oswego passed away on March 6, 2010, at the Geneva General Hospital surrounded by his family.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., he was a son of the late John and Irene (Schmude) Kaylor and had attended schools in Pittsburgh.

He was a member of the Bricklayers, Masons and Plasterers Local #54 and had worked on several construction projects throughout the country.

Jerry was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Oswego, Calvary Lutheran Church in Seneca Falls and was a member of the American Legion #268.

He was a veteran, serving with the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II.

He was an avid golfer and fisherman and enjoyed reading.

He is survived by a son, Lawrence (Paula) Kaylor of Fulton; two daughters, Lorraine (Dr. Joseph) Lorenzetti of Seneca Falls and Suzanne (Shawn) Muldoon of Oswego; a brother, Robert (Connie) Kaylor of Houston, Texas; a sister, Maryanne (Don) Cornish of Pennsylvania; 14 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Janet; his grandson, Adam Cook Kaylor; a brother, Ralph “Bud” Kaylor; and two sisters, Edna Koethe and Joan Stalhut.

Services and burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery in the spring.

Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m.
