OSWEGO, NY – Donald G. Hildreth, 87, a resident of 37 W. Third St., passed away on Saturday Sept. 19, 2009, at the Loretto Heights Nursing Home.
Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Frank and Elsie (Douglas) Hildreth.
He was employed as an auto mechanic for the State of New York.
Mr. Hildreth was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Navy.
He was a former member of VFW #1895 in Schenectady and a member of VFW #2320 in Oswego.
Surviving are his companion of 30 years, Helen France; and his grandson, Jason McKay.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine Hildreth; a daughter, Donna McKay; a grandson, Stephen McKay; a brother, Frank Hildreth; and two sisters, Bertha Siller and Vera Parker.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.
