FULTON, NY – Dorothy M. Guyer, 90, of Fulton, died February 17, 2008, in Tampa, Fla.
Born in Chateaugay, NY, she was the daughter of William and Pearl Coakley.
She always enjoyed going back to her hometown and was scheduled to return for Christmas before her illness on Dec. 21.
Dorothy retired from Nestle Co., after many years.
She was a very kind and loving mom and loved to joke around even to the end.
She would always ask you, “What’s going on?â€ÂÂ
Dorothy cared about everyone that she came in contact with and was a very wonderful Christian lady.
She enjoyed playing cards and games and will be missed by many.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edward Guyer; and a brother, John Coakley.
Surviving are her sons, Tim (Virginia Timberlake) Guyer of Land O’ Lakes, Fla. and Terry Guyer of Webster; two grandsons, Blake and Grant Guyer of Colorado; her sister-in-law, Alice Coakley of Fulton.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 23, at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton.
Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
A calling hour will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
Dorothy had a soft spot in her heart for sick children.
