Earl M. Stanley

Earl M. Stanley, 91, of Fulton passed away Friday at Oswego Hospital.

A native of the Town of Henderson, Mr. Stanley had resided in Meridian much of his life.  He retired in 1979 as a school bus driver for the North Syracuse School District.  He had previously worked for Bond Bakery, Hathaway Bakery, Crucible Steel and Marcellus Casket Company, all in Syracuse.  Mr. Stanley was a member of the Meridian Baptist Church.  He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as Staff Sergeant of Company “I” 71st Infantry in the European Theater.  Surviving are:  wife of 63 years, Marie; a son, Ken (Cheryl) of Natick, MA; a brother, Harold; three grandsons, Jon (Amanda), Matthew (Deanna) and Michael; two great-grandchildren, Jon and Mia Stanley; and several nieces and nephews.  Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 1 at Fairdale Rural Cemetery, Co. Rte. 3, Hannibal.
