Eileen Kemp

Eileen Kemp, 85, of Oakland Park, Florida, entered into God’s Kingdom on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023.

She was born June 10, 1937, to Harold and Tressa Moon.

Eileen, the most loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother is survived by her sons, Dennis (Tom) and Timothy; daughters, Dennise, Terri, and Christine; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Eileen married Dennis T Kemp in 1959 and traveled the country to be by his side as they raised a family, while stationed at various military bases.  They finally settled down and retired in Virginia, then moved to North Carolina.  Upon the loss of her beloved, Eileen moved to Florida to live with her youngest daughter and family, Christine, Carlos and Hailey.  On September 21, 2022, Eileen entered into a more personal relationship with Jesus as she was baptized in the Holy Spirit.

Eileen had the personality and natural charisma to make friends easily and she truly enjoyed making craft and sewing items for her many grandchildren and the local community.  Her community contributions brought recognition from Nova University for her unwavering support. Eileen also enjoyed getting out of the house with family to play bingo.

Eileen was a truly awesome woman whose impact will be forever felt by her family, that loves her dearly.  Her passing has left an unfillable gap in the hearts of her loved ones.  Her sacrifices, support, forgiveness and love will be forever engrained in all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Eileen’s earthly birthday, 11 am on June 10, 2023.  It will be held at Broward Church, 9191 Orange Drive, Davie, Florida 33328.  Please RSVP at https://www.facebook.com/events/185669391017821.
