Eileen S. Barkley, 77, of Kay Pat Drive, Phoenix, NY, passed away at home on Friday February 26, 2010. A native of Massena, NY, she was born to her late parents, Harlan & Leah (Mayville) Sharlow in 1932.
A graduate of Massena High School, later she became a private secretary for the WMSA Radio Station, Massena. Eileen was a member of the Phoenix United Methodist Church; Enterprise Fire Co. # 1 Auxiliary; volunteer at the Red Cross Blood Bank; and the Board of Elections. Surviving are her husband Francis A. Barkley; her children, Jeffrey A. (Deborah) Barkley of Phoenix; Cindy (Larry) Pealo of Macedon, NY; Scott (Kelly) Barkley of Fulton; a brother, Gerald Sharlow of Massena; a sister, Rita La Shomb of Massena; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson; several nieces, nephews, cousins.
Services are scheduled for 2 pm on Saturday March 27, 2010 at the Phoenix United Methodist Church, 49 Jefferson St., Phoenix, NY 13135. The Rev. Constance E. Seifert will officiate.
