OSWEGO, NY – Evelyn D. Quinn, 88, passed away Tuesday Sept. 8, 2009, at Seneca Hill Manor in the town of Volney.
Mrs. Quinn was born in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Frank and Clara (Pascuito) DeSantis.
She had lived in Oswego for most of her life.
She was the wife of the late John L. Quinn, who died in 2007.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an operator with the New York Telephone Co.
Mrs. Quinn was a member of the New York Telephone Pioneers and a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen (Kirk) Rose of Shertz, Texas; a son, John J. (Julie) Quinn Sr. of Harahan, La.; two brothers, Francis DeSantis of Oswego and Philip DeSantis of Oswego; a sister, Gertrude Cummings of Florida, three grandchildren, Jason Rose, Kevin Rose and John J. Quinn Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Ella Natoli, Genevieve Marturano and Marion Griffin.
Services are private.
Interment will be in All Saints’ Mausoleum, St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Arrangements are in care of the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Oswego.
