OSWEGO, NY – Floyd H. Shatraw, 81 and a resident of 95 Waterloo St., Clyde, NY, and formerly of Oswego, died Wednesday morning Feb. 10, 2010, in the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
He was born in Oswego and was the son of the late Floyd and Anna McKinstry Shatraw.
Mr. Shatraw had been employed as a custodian for many years at SUNY Oswego.
He was a member of the Sons of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2320 and Sons of the American Legion.
Mr. Shatraw is survived by one brother, Jack Shatraw of Oswego; two sisters, Dorothy Burnett of Oswego and Julia Rotach of Clyde; one stepbrother, Charles Gadway of Pulaski; one stepsister, Linda Wilmott of Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three sisters, Ruth Carpenter, Helen Sweet and Shirley Green.
Funeral services will be held 6 p.m. Friday at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Eddy officiating.
Calling hours will be 4-6 p.m. prior to the service.
Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
