OSWEGO, NY – Frances Castle, 79, a former resident of County Route 25, Oswego, died Wednesday June 11, 2008, at Seneca Hill Manor after a long illness.
Mrs. Castle was born in Oswego the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Sekula) Oleyourryk.
She was a custodian for the Oswego County Savings Bank, Oswego, and later worked in the food service department at the Oswego Catholic High School.
Mrs. Castle was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Castle, in June 2000; and her brothers, Joseph, John and Edward Oleyourryk; and sisters, Helen Fultz and Sally Lisk.
Mrs. Castle is survived by her son, Al (Sharon) Castle of Tully; and daughter, Peggy Lipsett of Liverpool; her sisters, Mary (Mike) Falise of Oswego and Patricia (Earl) Bocko of Oswego; brothers, Jack (Rosemary) Oleyourryk of Latham and Raymond (Irene) Oleyourryk of Oswego.
Mrs. Castle is also survived by her three grandchildren, Brain Castle, Brandon and Jessica Lipsett; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her faithful companion, Basha.
Graveside services will be conducted in July at a time announced at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego.
There will be no calling hours.
The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar and Scanlon Funeral Home 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.
